The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), says it’s sensitising retirees to its automated retiree verification system focused at high-ranking officers who had retired from the service.
Its spokesperson, Abdullahi Maiwada, in an announcement on Thursday in Abuja, stated that the programme, the primary of its variety, was inaugurated on April 22.
He stated it was designed to streamline the verification course of for senior officers to ease entry to their advantages and different entitlements.
“The system can be geared toward modernising the analogue course of of advantages software for retired officers to align with present technological developments.
“We wish to present a platform for the graceful verification of retired Deputy Comptroller Generals, Assistant Comptroller Generals and Comptrollers,” he stated.
He quoted the Comptroller-Common(C-G), Mr Adewale Adeniyi, as assuring retirees of a seamless, clear and accountable train.
“The C-G, represented by Festus Okun, the DCG in-charge of Finance Administration and Technical Service, addressed retirees on the headquarters and guaranteed them of a seamless verification train.
“The DCG, whereas interfacing with the retirees on behalf of the C-G, stated that the transfer was an illustration of the service’s dedication to their welfare,” the assertion stated.
